All about Wreckless
Wreckless founder, Rob Cheesman, long dreamed of opening a skate shop that was focused solely on skateboarding. He envisioned a shop that catered to skaters, and didn't treat skateboards as just another product that the store carried.
He wanted to provide the best products at the best prices, making the sport affordable to all. The shop would be open, friendly and well-stocked. Skaters of all ages and levels of ability would be welcome and treated equally well. Not only would he provide products, but he would also help skaters select the proper gear and assist in repair and maintenance if the skater asked for assistance.
He wanted to put back into the sport - providing clinics, competitions and sponsorships.
This dream became a reality in 2002 with the opening of Wreckless Skate Shop. The shop first opened in the Silvernail Plaza but was relocated to 444 W. Sunset Drive in Waukesha to be closer to the proposed new skate park that the City of Waukesha planned to build in 2006.
Wreckless is sponsoring the local competitions and skaters and is providing instructors to the Waukesha Park & Rec for skateboading clinics.
The shop has 100's of decks, hardware, apparel, and accessory items in stock at competitive prices.
Most importantly, Wreckless is a friendly shop that caters to all level of skaters. Rob loves to talk about skating and to help young skaters in mastering the sport and having a great skating experience.
Rob doesn't get to skate as much as he used to, but that's okay - his dream is a reality.
